Diagnostic Testing
Bloodwork
Types of bloodwork can vary from basic to comprehensive. Bloodwork may evaluate your pet’s liver and kidney function, blood sugar, white blood cell count, and electrolytes like potassium.

Radiographs (x-rays) $275
X-rays evaluate for bone fractures, chest or abdominal masses, foreign material ingestion, and more.

Focused ultrasound $99
Focused ultrasound is used to look for abnormal fluid in the chest or abdomen, large masses, intestinal foreign bodies, fetal structures, and more. This is a 5-10 minute ultrasound looking for major problems rather than subtle concerns.

Complete abdominal ultrasound $399
Complete abdominal ultrasound is a non-invasive, detailed ultrasound exam of the gallbladder, liver, spleen, kidneys, adrenal glands, bladder, pancreas, bowel, and abdominal lymph nodes. It takes 30-45 minutes, and some pets require mild sedation for relaxation.

This test evaluates for the presence of intestinal parasite eggs in your pet’s stool.

Medical Treatment
Toxin Ingestion
Treatment for toxin ingestions may include inducing vomiting, activated charcoal, fluid therapy, bloodwork, or other things.

Parvo virus (outpatient)
Includes testing for parvo virus. Treatment for parvo may include anti-nausea medication, fluid therapy, and antibiotics.

Corneal ulcer
Scratches or abrasions to the cornea can cause squinting, eye redness, and pain. Treatment may include eye drops, pain control, and an e-collar.

Feline urethral obstruction
This is a common life-threatening emergency in male cats. Pets must be treated aggressively with pain control, urinary catheterization, and fluid therapy.

Surgical Procedures
Laceration repair
Dog bite wounds and other injuries may require sutures placed under sedation, pain control, antibiotics, and anti-inflammatories.

Pyometra is infection of the uterus in non-spayed females. Surgery involves removal of the uterus and ovaries, and thus the source of infection. This can be a life-threatening emergency in severe cases.
